Roasted Cabbage Wedges

PREP
TIME: 10 MINS COOK TIME:25 MINSTOTAL:35 MINS
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Head of Green Cabbage
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt (I use Pink Himalayan)
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Garlic Power
- Baking Sheet
- Foil
- Spatula (Optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat
oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
First I trimmed the stem then begin cutting the head of cabbage into 8 equally sized wedges. Cut
through the remaining stem and core. Place the wedges in a single layer on the baking sheet.
Then using a pastry brush, basting brush or oil mister apply olive
oil to the top sides of each cabbage wedge. Then season generously
with salt and black pepper, next add garlic to taste. Carefully flip
over the cabbage wedges (this is where the spatula may come in handy)
then repeat on other side.
Now
place into the oven and roast the cabbage wedges for about 10
minutes, or until edges of the cabbage and the back side of the
wedges are nice and browned. Then carefully turn each wedge and roast
for 10-15 more minutes to brown the other side and cook thoroughly.
The texture should still be a bit chewy when they are done. Serve
immediately.
