Valentine's Day is right around the corner and it doesn't matter if you have a date planned with bae, girl's night with your BFF's or just a night at home chillin' cuddled up with your fur-baby here's a lil' something that you should include in your Valentine's Day primp and prep. A luxurious chocolate milk bath, and yes it's as fabulous as it sounds hunty! If you don't have the coins to splurge on a treatment at the spa no worries because I got you, just keep reading...

A chocolate milk bath is a great way to relax and the aroma is juuust everything (Mmmm chocolate in my Homer Simpson voice). If you want to add more decadence to your experience light some candles and sprinkle some rose petals in to the water as well. But before we jump into the recipe let me give you a few reasons why you should definitely be taking milk baths. Reports show that the lactic acid in milk helps clean and soften the skin by sloughing off dead skin cells and may also encourage skin cell renewal (hello baby soft skin). Milk also hydrates the skin preventing dryness which we can all benefit from this time of year right? In addition to that there's a soothing feeling of the milk in the water that creates a comfortable relaxed feeling and taking a milk bath at the end of the day is a great way to help reduce the stress of your day. All these benefits sheesh no wonder Cleopatra swore by them. I could go on about the greatness of milk baths but I think you get the picture *giggles* so let's jump right into it.

The Necessities:
1/2 C Milk
1/2 C Dark Chocolate Coco Powder
1 C Moisturizing Bubble Bath

Let's Make It Happen:
Bring milk to a boil. Stir in chocolate until dissolved. Let the chocolate milk cool and then pour the mixture into one cup of liquid bubble bath. Add 1/2 a cup of the chocolate milk bath into your bath water. Save the rest in the refrigerator it last for about four days.

Not only is this dyi treatment another way to indulge in a bit of guilt-free chocolatey goodness but it has numerous skin benefits too. Oh yea, I like to dry brush before my milk baths to up the exfoliation factor. But anywho, I'd love to know if you will give this a try so comment below.
