This girl loves her chai tea and a good cocktail! So when I found out about the "Vanilla Chai Tea Cocktail" I had to investigate... It was yummy yummy yummy! This rich flavorful cocktail is perf for a Christmas brunch, sipping on a lazy Sunday or anytime you're in the mood for a lil' dirty tea ( I won't judge, hey it's always 5 o'clock somewhere right?!) I altered a recipe that I found online to cut those extra cals and this recipe can be served cold over ice if you prefer.
Vanilla Chai Tea Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz. Vanilla Vodka (I used Pinnacle)
- ¾ oz. Amaretto liqueur
- Chai Tea concentrate
- Milk of your choice ( I used 1%)
- Ground Cinnamon
Preparation
To make a hot chai:
Mix half chai tea concentrate and half milk in a coffee mug, pour into a small saucepan and heat over stove. Once it reaches the desired temperature, pour back into the coffee mug, add vanilla vodka and amaretto, stir to mix ingredients. Warm up about 1/4 cup of milk in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. Carefully pour the warm milk into an air tight container and rigorously shake to froth it. Skip this step if you have one of those fancy electric milk frothing wands or machines. Now pour the frothed milk over your Vanilla Chai Tea Cocktail, sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy! Be sure to comment below if you love this!
