I'm straight outta Philly, but my wax is Brazilian! Yea I go every five weeks and can't imagine what I ever did before waxing. Nothing ruins a smooth wax job worse than those gross ingrown hairs that sometime occur?! I'm normally one that will preform bathroom surgery on any blemish but this time I had a few that needed professional help. I'd heard about "Bikini Facials" or "Vajacials" for awhile but never tried one myself. Fearing that it was a waste or would hurt. But the years of bikini waxing finally took its toll on my skin, leaving me with a couple stubborn ingrown hairs and hyper pigmentation from ones I'd removed myself.

I finally decided to make an appointment for
"The Bikini Exfoliator" at
The Naked Peach Waxing Boutique. It takes about 30-45mins, should be done within two weeks of your bikini wax and cost $65 or only $55 if you're a Peach Card member. Upon arrival I was assured by Gigi (the esthetician that preformed my service) that it would be painless, not to worry just put on my head phones or pick up a magazine and get ready to relax! After being showed to my room I disrobed from the waist down, plugged up my ears and butterflied my legs on the table. The exfoliator started with a good deep cleanser like any facial. Then my bikini area was steamed to soften the skin making it easy to remove any ingrown hairs. GiGi carefully extracted the ingrown hairs with ease using a
looped extractor tool. I only felt slight discomfort on one really stubborn ingrown hair (that I picked before myself...wrong move) but other then that it was a breeze. Then she applied a brightening chemical peel down there to help clear up any discoloration I'd caused by picking ingrown hairs in the past. Lastly she applied a moisturizer, told me about after care (add moisturizer if I have any peeling and don't exfoliate for a couple days) and I was on my way. Gigi did an excellent job and got my skin down there feelin' great! In the coming week I noticed that hairs grew in more smoothly and I had no bumps or new ingrown hairs! This is definitely a spa treatment that I will do again and again. I would recommend a Bikini Exfoliator to anyone that gets waxed.
