Benefits of Dry Brushing: Why You Should Start Doing It Like Now!

It's really simple all you need is a natural bristle brush, I prefer a body brush with a long handle so you can get to those hard to reach places that also has a removable head . I like to do it in the morning before I shower for a lil' "pick me up." Just start out before bathing on dry skin at the ankles gently working in circular motions upwards toward the heart. This step is key because the lymphatic fluid flows through the body towards the heart, so you should brush in the same direction. Once you're finished around the ankles work up to your calves, thighs, booty, stomach and arms. Use extra care when brushing over your chest and decolletage the skin is more sensitive in those areas. Then it's time to do your back, now brush from the neck down to the lower back. Next hit the shower using warm not hot water and try to limit the time to 10 mins or less. Lastly follow up your shower with a hydrating moisturizer I like to use a blend of half oil half lotion. I use either coconut oil, avocado oil or olive oil mixed with Palmer's Coco Butter Lotion. My hot tip...be sure to apply your moisturizer within 3 mins of getting out of the shower to lock moister into your skin.
Add dry brushing to your daily beauty routine and your skin should be smoother and more sleek in about a month. I love dry brushing and hope you will too! Will you give it a go? Hit me up on Instagram or comment below.
